If you only want to learn a foreign language you should take speech classes, not decide to study an entire year abroad. What tempts you to do an exchange year? 2. RESEARCH. Inform yourself about the options you have. What does it actually mean to be away from home for a certain amount of time? Get to know to the different organizations and their different programs. Once you picked an organization you can go ahead and call them. They will be more than welcoming to talk to you and answer all your questions. 3. APPLY. You can get started with your application!
